re: again
abide: to dwell
The Origin
Founded in 2026, re | abide was created around a simple belief: your home should be more than a place you live; it should reflect who you are, how you live, and the season of life you’re in.
As our lives evolve, our homes should have the ability to evolve with us. Sometimes that means starting somewhere new. More often, it means thoughtfully reimagining the home you already have. Through intentional design, re | abide creates spaces that feel personal, functional, and deeply connected to the people who live within them—allowing you to settle in, live beautifully, and abide once again.
Based in San Pedro, California, re | abide serves the South Bay, Harbor Area, and surrounding communities throughout Los Angeles and Orange County.
The Aesthetic
The re | abide aesthetic is rooted in clean lines, thoughtful layouts, natural materials, and a sense of warmth. Rather than designing around a singular style, we layer texture, tone, and organic elements to create interiors that feel collected, comfortable, and enduring.
Rooted in California, re | abide finds endless inspiration in the landscapes, colors, and textures that surround us. From the relaxed beauty of the coast to the warmth of the mountains and desert, California offers a rich and diverse palette to draw from. Drawing design elements from the place we call home allows us to create interiors that feel grounded, familiar, and connected to the environments that bring us joy.
We bring that inspiration indoors through natural finishes, tactile materials, layered neutrals, and thoughtful details, creating spaces that feel connected to their surroundings while remaining distinctly yours.
Our Team
Jennifer Lopez, CID
Founder + Interior Designer Jennifer has always been drawn to creativity in all its forms, but it was through interior design that she found a way to bring together her love of art, problem-solving, and creating spaces that have a meaningful impact on everyday life.
She earned her BFA in Interior Design from Cal State Long Beach, where she now gives back to the program through teaching and volunteering for student reviews. Her professional experience spans both commercial and residential design, giving her a well-rounded perspective on how thoughtful design can shape the way we experience a space. Over the years, her creative path has taken a few unexpected turns—from working as a color guard instructor and henna artist to ultimately building a career in interior design. Each experience has helped shape the creativity, curiosity, and personal approach she brings to her work today.
When she isn't designing for re | abide or teaching, Jennifer can usually be found working alongside her husband on their own home renovations, tending to her ever-growing collection of indoor plants, or taking an entirely unnecessary number of pictures of her cats.
